Some time today, by Crom, that stupid misplaced search box is going down. I’ve received some good suggestions from commenters and I’m going to apply them until either it or me has been vanquished.
Also, can anyone out there tell me why the hell my RSS feed doesn’t seem to be working?
In today’s good news: The response to my previous post has been overwhelming. We are creeping dangerously close to the point where I’m going to have to think up some substance for “Cold Windings of the Murthalump.” Gulp.
My girlfriend, the multi-talented Elizabeth Bear, has agreed to be the one to follow me around with camera in hand and shoot the tour of my fire station. That item, we’ll get to in September, when she’s staying with me following Worldcon.
I wonder if me heckling you on video should be an escalator clause, or just part of the fun…
Since it’s inescapable, I think it should just be a default feature. 😛
The RSS is working fine for me, I subscribed only this week, and received this update with no trouble
Me too
Me too. I subscribed via googleReader and all the posts to date have arrived in a timely fashion.
Me too!
Same here.
Oh… hm yeah, actually the RSS button on the page doesn’t work, but using the feed URL listed in the page’s source (i.e. http://scottlynch.us/blog/feed/) works fine.
Some new WordPress oddity, I assume.
RSS is fine.
I ignored the rss link on the blog, which didn’t seem to work, took a guess and put the following URL into my browser:
scottlynch.us/blog/rss
Success!
This is what worked for me…once I threw in http://www.
I dunno about RSS but I plugged just the BLOG URL into Google Reader, and it works fine. It’s this feed: http://scottlynch.us/blog/feed/
Your HTML is currently like this:
Scott Lynch
And it needs to change to this:
Scott Lynch
Hope that helps
RSS is working just fine for me (via Google Reader).
Your rss link points to -> “http://www.scottlynch.us/blog/feed=rss” when it should point to “http://www.scottlynch.us/blog/feed/rss”
Peace!
Tim.
Just swapped it. Hope that fixes things!
I look photo to the fire station tour.
Catch me online in a bit, Scott – we can sort all your bits out, as it were!
